Home to works by Otto Hesselbom, the artist behind the famous painting "Our Country", as well as paintings by K Ragnar,Olof Sager Nelson, Sixten Lundbohm and all other important Dalslandic artists. In addition, there are always interesting temporary arts and crafts
exhibitions in the museum´s two beautiful exhibition halls and a small gallery. On the ground floor you´ll find a permanent collection of craft, art, furniture, silver and everyday objects from old times in Dalsland.
Add to that a large sculpturepark with "Dalonien", which was made from reused material. a seaside location and own guestharbour by Dalslands Canal as well as the museumcafé
"Bonaparte" with a breathtaking view over the lake Spången.
The museum building is special in itself. It is built entirely from ecological materials. The building is also home to a well- stocked museum shop. Concerts, lectures and other events are held in the park and exibition halls.
